Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce shareholder Ed Armstrong was named as one of Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders by Florida Trend magazine in the inaugural Florida 500 publication.
Florida Trend recently released the 2018 Florida 500 issue that highlights the 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors throughout the state. The editorial selection of the 500 executives was based on extensive contacts in regional business circles, hundreds of interviews and months of research, culminating in a highly selective biographical guide to the people who really run Florida.
“Armstrong has made a name for himself as a successful land-use attorney whose clients have included the Church of Scientology and the Tampa Bay Rays, along with many of the most successful developers in the Bay area,” the publication stated of Mr. Armstrong. “He also has a reputation as a “rainmaker” whose counsel is frequently sought by candidates who are considering running for office in Pinellas County.”
Mr. Armstrong is a shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Land Use Group for Pinellas County. With three decades of experience, Mr. Armstrong has obtained approval for many of the most complex development projects in Pinellas County. He also represents several high-profile clients who have significant interactions with local governments. He is based in the firm’s Clearwater office. Mr. Armstrong regularly represents national and local developers, public and private, with interests in the Tamp Bay area. He often serves as local general counsel to these clients.
