Mr. Criser has been appointed President of the LAC for the 2018-2019 term, following his role as President-Elect the previous term. Mr. Hall has been appointed to serve as a Board Member of the LAC.
As members of the LAC, Mr. Criser and Mr. Hall are committed to supporting the LAC and its objective to increase alumni participation by supporting UF law students, faculty, programs, and services. Some initiatives that the LAC have in place to increase alumni participation include: renewed law firm giving programs, promote the college’s CLE offerings, conferences, and faculty speaking engagements to organizations to help increase visibility of the law school and faculty, coordinate the revived tradition of Class Gift at commencement, and increase course sponsorships to provide essential funds to reward outstanding academic achievement.
The Council, founded in 1983, and Law Center Association Inc. Board of Trustees, founded in 1960, are the primary support and advisory boards for the law school. Both assist with raising private funds to cover expenses not met through state support, tuition or endowment income.
Mr. Criser is a shareholder and the practice Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. His practice primarily involves the defense of professional malpractice claims, life, health, and disability insurance claims, as well as general commercial litigation.
Mr. Hall practices in the firm’s Litigation group, primarily focusing in complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, management-side employment matters and federal court practice. The diversity of Mr. Hall’s practice is reflected in the diversity of the clients he represents: from Fortune 100 companies to large insurance companies to small and up-and-coming businesses to individuals.
