Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Museum of Science & Industry’s 13th Annual National Hispanic Scientist of the Year Award on October 12. Hill Ward Henderson recognizes the tremendous growth of the Hispanic community and the importance of having Hispanic role models to inspire young Hispanic students to stay in school and to realize their dreams. The proceeds from the event go to sponsor Hispanic boys and girls to participate in MOSI’s Youth Enriched by Science program, known as the “YES! Team.” The YES Team stands for Youth Enriched by Science, Technology Engineering, Art and Design and Math.
The 2013 Hispanic Scientist of the Year is Raul Cuero, Ph.D.. Dr. Cuero is the President and Research Director of “International Park of Creativity,” in Bogota Colombia and is also an International Consultant on Science and Biotechnology. While as a NASA Scientific Research Collaborator in Astrobiology and Biogenesis he developed two inventions - one which was recognized as one of the three most important technologies for the environment, while the other protects astronauts from the effects of UV rays. Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to sponsor the event honoring Dr. Cuero.
