Timothy C. Ford, Shareholder and Co-Chair in the Construction & Design Group at Tampa law firm Hill Ward Henderson, has been selected to participate in Leadership Tampa’s 2016 Class. Since 1971, Leadership Tampa has been introducing its class members to major facets of the greater Tampa community through an intensive nine-month course. The selection process to be a part of Leadership Tampa is rigorous and competitive for each of the 50-60 seats available each year. Members of Leadership Tampa are business professionals that have demonstrated concern for community issues and have been active volunteers in service organizations.
Mr. Ford, a Board Certified Construction Attorney, by the Florida Bar, has experience representing owners, developers, contractors, construction managers, design professionals and subcontractors in all phases of the construction process, with an emphasis on complex construction litigation. Active in both professional and Bar-related activities, Mr. Ford recently served as co-chair of the Construction Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He is also an active steering committee member and the current publications chair of Division 7 (Insurance, Surety & Liens) of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry. In addition, Mr. Ford is active in the community and is involved with Champions for Children (formerly known as The Child Abuse Council). He also volunteers on a regular basis with Bay Area Legal Services.
