Hill Ward Henderson hosted a seminar today for clients and colleagues in the automotive industry titled "Pro-Active Employment Law Practices." Rosalind K. Bak, Shareholder, presented "Investigating Employee Complaints of Discrimination and Harassment" which explored investigations and appropriate remedial measures. She shared best practices for managing employees following investigations to avoid whistle-blower retaliation claims. S. Gordon Hill, Shareholder, presented "Best Practices for Employee Terminations & Other Discipline" which highlighted how putting best practices into place can help place "bullet proof" terminations and other disciplinary actions. He discussed exit meetings and the use of severance agreements. The seminar was very well attended and additional future seminars are being planned.
