Benjamin H. Hill, III, founding Shareholder at Hill Ward Henderson, was recently highlighted as “Attorney of the Month” in Attorney at Law Magazine’s premier issue. Attorney at Law Magazine was created as a new voice for the legal community in Greater Tampa Bay. The magazine is dedicated to delivering features on noteworthy, high profile and respected local attorneys, current industry and Bar Associations’ news and events, and fresh insights about the business of the practice of law.
The article highlights Mr. Hill’s journey to becoming “one of the finest lawyers in Florida” that almost didn’t become a lawyer. Mr. Hill began his career as a cost accountant but quickly changed course and went into law to be of service to people. During his career, Hill worked closely with Governor Bob Graham serving as special outside counsel, he served on the board of Hillsborough Community College and was selected to chair the Federal Judicial Nominating Committee for the State of Florida. In addition to filling vacancies on the U.S. federal bench, Hill established his career as a top trial lawyer representing private clients in all types of civil disputes and developed a specialty representing lawyers charged with legal malpractice. In addition to Mr. Hill’s passion for the legal industry, he has been very involved with the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute obtaining record-breaking contributions. He is a past president of The Florida Bar, which boasts over 93,000 member attorneys.
