Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce the election of four new shareholders: Andriy Lytvyn, Fred C. “Kip” Marshall, Ryan J. McConnell, and Anisha P. Patel. This election now brings the firm’s number of shareholders to 74, of 119 attorneys.
Lytvyn is a registered patent attorney with degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering and over a decade of experience in patent and trademark law. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property (IP) Law by the Florida Bar. He has extensive patent preparation and prosecution experience, which includes over 190 issued U.S. patents granted for a wide array of technologies, encompassing software, telecommunications, medical devices, consumer products, and retail security solutions. Lytvyn also has substantial experience in trademark prosecution, which includes over 100 U.S. trademark applications. On the litigation front, he specializes in defending and invalidating patents in Inter Partes Review (IPR) trials and represents clients in patent and trademark appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Lytvyn received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Marshall's practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation and professional liability defense, in which he represents clients in the prosecution and defense of claims throughout Florida state and federal courts, as well as in various forms of alternative dispute resolution. Marshall also has experience in the areas of real property and land use litigation, as well as regulatory compliance. Marshall attended Florida State University College of Law where he graduated with honors.
McConnell's practice focuses on representing a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of office, retail, medical, automotive, and industrial properties. McConnell also has significant experience representing homebuilders and landowners in connection with the acquisition, development, and sale of land in Central Florida for residential communities. McConnell graduated cum laude from the University of Florida College of Law.
Patel represents individuals and businesses in Florida and nationally in a variety of complex business-related disputes, including professional liability matters. Her experience includes prosecuting and defending against claims alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, tortious interference, and matters involving shareholder and partnership disputes. Patel also has experience representing major tobacco companies in individual smoking and health litigation. She has extensive experience in all aspects of trial strategy and preparation. Patel is also the current President of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, where she leads a board of over 50 attorneys and 21,000 members. Patel received her J.D. and graduated first in her class, summa cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.
