Hill Ward Henderson Attorneys S. Gordon Hill and Jeffery J. Wilcox were recently sworn in as members of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) and HCBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Boards. The HCBA is a nonprofit professional member association that caters to the legal community throughout the Tampa Bay area. HCBA’s mission is to inspire and promote respect for the law and the justice system through service to the profession and to the community. The HCBA Young Lawyers Division is one of the largest in the state. The YLD promotes professionalism and ethical conduct, provides guidance and support to new lawyers and offers educational opportunities that will help further develop young lawyers.
Mr. Hill is a Shareholder in the firm’s Litigation and Employment Law Groups. His practice primarily involves employment litigation and counseling, as well as general commercial litigation. In his employment practice, he advises, represents and defends corporate clients in a broad spectrum of employment-related issues. In addition to being involved in his profession, Mr. Hill is active in the community. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay and the Culbreath Bayou Neighborhood Association. He has been involved with the Vanderbilt Alumni Association for several years.
Mr. Wilcox is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. His practice primarily focuses on employment law, including wage-hour compliance, FMLA and ADA compliance, allegations of discrimination and harassment, non-compete litigation, and handbook and policy drafting. Mr. Wilcox recently received the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.
