Hill Ward Henderson attorney Ryan M. Angel has been selected as a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) Bar Leadership Institute Class of 2021-22. Additionally, attorney Kendra M. Lyman, who was a member of the Class of 2018-19, has been appointed to serve as Co-Chair of this year’s class.
The HCBA Bar Leadership Institute aims to identify and develop young attorneys of diverse backgrounds who have the potential to grow into future leaders. The annual program consists of monthly learning modules designed to develop professional and interpersonal skills, facilitate discussions on issues legal professionals face, and increase volunteer service in the community. The program culminates with a community service project that is chosen, managed and completed by the leadership class.
Angel is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Tax group. His practice focuses on general corporate advice and mergers and acquisitions. Angel’s experience includes advising privately-held companies and their owners with respect to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, entity formation and various other corporate matters. As part of his practice, Angel has represented clients in the sale or acquisition of automobile and recreational vehicle dealerships and groups, marine manufacturers, physician and dental practices, engineering firms and other professional service providers.
Lyman is an associate in the firm’s Construction & Design group. Her practice includes construction claims, design claims, contract documents, insurance and sureties, and project management. She primarily represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and sureties in construction defect disputes, contract disputes, insurance coverage disputes, bond claims, lien foreclosure actions, and complex commercial litigation.
