Hill Ward Henderson is proud to announce that shareholder Ben Dachepalli was appointed to serve a one-year term as Chair of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council’s (EDC) Business Development Committee for the 2021 fiscal year.
The Committee’s purpose is to implement an enhanced, scalable, and comprehensive Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) program centered on pro-active business outreach, devise and implement a targeted business recruitment strategy to prospect companies in high growth/high wage industry and leverage its strategic plan to target and recruit national and regional corporate headquarters. Prior to this appointment, Dachepalli served as the Chair of the BRE Subcommittee for the 2020 fiscal year.
Established in 2009 as a partnership between the public sector and private corporate investors, the Tampa Bay EDC is the lead designated economic development agency for Hillsborough County and the cities of Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace, and an official partner of Enterprise Florida, Inc. The Tampa EDC’s mission is to develop and sustain a thriving local economy by focusing on the attraction, expansion, and retention of high wage jobs and capital investment.
Dachepalli is a Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Construction & Design Practice Group. As a Board Certified Construction Attorney, his practice includes the negotiation and drafting of construction related agreements and complex construction litigation claims regarding contracts, construction defects, design errors, and construction liens. Dachepalli represents owners, developers, contractors, construction managers, design professionals and subcontractors in all phases of the construction process. As a former Board Member of the Construction Industry Licensing Board for the State of Florida, Dachepalli is also experienced in licensing matters for contractors and subcontractors.
