Hill Ward Henderson proudly announces that attorney Matthew F. Hall was recently honored with the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s (TBBJ) 2018 Heroes at Work Award. Mr. Hall, along with nine other recipients, will be recognized with this honor at a Panel Discussion and Luncheon on July 18 at the Centre Club – Tampa.
The TBBJ Heroes at Work Award aims to recognize Tampa Bay area veterans who, through their professional and personal efforts, are making a positive impact throughout the community.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hall served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq in 2003. Mr. Hall is a life member of both the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Mr. Hall helped create and fund the first endowed scholarship for military veterans at the University of Florida School of Law. He also serves as an officer at the local VFW, serves as a mentor with the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit’s Veterans Treatment Court, and previously chaired the county bar’s Military & Veterans Affairs Committee. Mr. Hall also handles pro bono matters to benefit veterans and is accredited to represent veterans’ benefits claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Hall’s other charitable efforts include the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where Matthew previously served as the Vice-Chair, and currently serves as Board Chair for the Mid Florida Chapter. This regional chapter provides comprehensive programs and advocacy to assist and empower more than 10,000 individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) residing in Central Florida.
Mr. Hall is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. His practice primarily focuses on insurance coverage disputes, general commercial litigation and federal court practices.
