Hill Ward Henderson recently served as a “Snake Pit Club” sponsor for the 2018 Valspar Championship, a PGA Tour golf tournament held at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida from March 5-11.
This year’s championship resulted in record-breaking attendance with over 150,000 attendees who followed top professional golfers like Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and more. Tiger Woods came short of victory, tying for second place under the winner of the 2018 Valspar Championship, Paul Casey.
The Valspar Championship is operated by the not-for-profit organization, Copperhead Charities, Inc. The organization is headed by a volunteer board of Tampa Bay area community leaders and has operated for over 40 years under various tournament names. With more than 2,000 volunteers, community-minded sponsors, and the support of fans, the tournament has consistently raised substantial funds through its Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities program and other groups like All Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, The First Tee, the Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation and Birdies for the Brave.
