11th Circuit Deepens Longstanding Circuit Split on Standing in Data Breach Class Actions

Attorneys Marie Borland and Robert Shimberg were featured in  Thomson Reuters Westlaw regarding the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that identity theft risk doesn’t support a data beach suit. This opinion sets precedent in the 11th Circuit favorable to companies at risk of class-action litigation based on claimed injuries arising out of data breaches.
