Bennett is an Associate in the firm's Construction and Litigation Groups. His practice primarily involves construction defect, design error, insurance and surety issues, and construction lien matters.

While attending Florida State University College of Law, Bennett participated in national moot court competitions. He was also very active in several peer leadership programs where he mentored incoming students and helped them become acclimated to the rigors of law school.

Outside of the firm, Bennett's interests include running, playing golf, spending time with his wife and son and following Tar Heel basketball. Bennett is also involved with Compassion International as well as various local charitable activities through his membership in a local church.
